    In the Aviation Physiology Training Equipment Delivery Ceremony held today at Kaohsiung Armed Forces General Hospital Gangshan Branch, the military offered an introduction exhibition of the “Spatial Disorientation Simulator” and “Ejection Seat Simulator” so that the participants may understand more about the latest performance upgrades. The equipment upgrades will strengthen the development of Aviation medicine and build an optimal training environment which will bolster the combat capabilities of the military. Held in the morning at the Aviation Training Center, the ceremony was headed by Secretary of Defense, Lieutenant General Xu Pei-Shan and invited the R&D team from National Chungshan Institute of Science and Technology, and personnel from National Defense Medical Bureau, Kaohsiung Armed Forces General Hospital and Kaohsiung Armed Forces General Hospital Zuoying Branch. Through the ribbon cutting ceremony and the mutual exchange of tokens, the success of the research collaboration of Aviation Training Center and National Chungshan Institute of Science and Technology is highlighted, marking a new milestone in aviation physiology training.

    Secretary of Defense, Xu Pei-Shan also acknowledged the efforts and sacrifices of the R&D team in the effective use of the simulation systems to continue the improvements of pilot adaptation and aviation physiology training and their contributions to the development of high technology guidance equipment which is a testament of our international standards and defense competencies. He also expressed his expectations that the aviation training center will be able to strive for greater improvements and cultivate outstanding pilots for the military now that it has a strong foundation of complete training equipment and professional talents. After the delivery ceremony, the Secretary of Defense accompanied the invited visitors to the “Ejection Seat Simulator”, “Spatial Disorientation Simulator”, and “Night Vision Training Simulator”. Professional guides were on hand to give the visitors an introduction of the equipment so that they may understand the performance upgrades and training processes better.
